How can I change what program my student is working on?
- Custom programs are part of the XtraMath Premium license. The Free program only includes the default program assignments.
- If your child is using XtraMath at school, always check with their teacher before making changes to their program.
- Students should know how to solve problems without time pressure before they are asked to work on their math fluency using XtraMath. We suggest they work on operations in the natural order: addition first, then subtraction, multiplication, and finally division. Our Program Guide with Grade-level Standards is correlated to math standards, and will inform you about where students start in the program.
On our website:
Sign in to your parent or teacher account, and click on the student's name on your report. Click Student settings, on the left side of the report, and select a new program for the student. If you do not see your desired program in the dropdown list, select Custom Program and more options will appear. Here, you will be able to change their program and time threshold.
Teachers can also change the program for multiple students at once. Go to your class report and click on Change programs on the left side of the page. Select the students whose programs you want to change, then select a new program for the students. Finally, click on the green Change button to submit your changes.
In our mobile app:
Sign in to your parent or teacher account, and go to the student report. (From a class report, click the student’s name to see their individual student report.) Open the Edit menu in the upper right, tap Student settings, and select a new program for this student. If you do not see your desired program in the dropdown list, select Custom Program and more options will appear.
