What is the role of the license administrator?

As a school or district leader, you may be the license administrator for your XtraMath account — the person responsible for managing your school's or district's license. Right now, your administrative controls are limited to license management; we plan to add more controls and reporting options in the future.

License Management

When your school or district purchases a license, one account is designated as the license administrator. From this role, you can view every teacher and admin attached to your license and remove them if needed. You won't, however, be able to view individual teachers' classes or students — that stays private to each teacher's account.

Sign in with your license admin account and go to the License page to manage the following:

Generate a New Teacher Access Code

A Teacher Access Code is generated automatically when your license is created. Share this code with teachers at your school or district so they can activate their license benefits — offline materials, professional development resources, and priority customer support.

If the code has expired or was shared by mistake, you can generate a new one at any time, which deactivates the old code.

Remove Teachers

If a teacher was added to your license by mistake, or has left the school, you can remove them. All teachers on your license appear in the Teacher Access section — select their name(s) and click Remove.

Manage License Admins

Need to share administrative responsibility? You can give another teacher license management privileges by checking their name in the Teacher Access list and clicking Give permissions. They'll then have the same admin powers you do. To remove an admin's privileges, click Remove next to their name.

General Usage

You can also have your own teacher account within XtraMath, and some school leaders choose to have every class shared with a single admin account. A few things to keep in mind if you go this route:

• Classes must be shared with your admin account manually (or through a rostering integration) — if a teacher adds a new class later, it won't automatically share with you.
• Your admin account can make changes to any class shared with it, but can't make changes to another teacher's account directly (like removing a class or resetting a password).
• The current online interface wasn't built with a district-wide view of dozens of classes in mind, so some actions may feel clunky at that scale.

ClassLink Integration

If your school or district uses ClassLink, XtraMath syncs with your ClassLink Roster Server every night — so any roster changes should be made there, not directly in XtraMath. Expect a one-day delay for changes to appear.

Clever Integration

If you use Clever, roster changes made in Clever (or your SIS that feeds into Clever) will sync to XtraMath automatically the next time a teacher signs in using their Clever account.
