We recommend that students only do XtraMath once a day, on a daily basis. Students can sign in to XtraMath multiple times per day. However, extra sessions have less educational value, and can decrease students’ enthusiasm for the program over the long run.
Also, note that students only get one progress quiz each day. If they sign in again later, those sessions are “race the teacher” practices only. Practice activities do not affect a student’s fluency score.
To complete their daily session, a student must complete each activity presented in their session. Most often a session consists of one progress quiz and two “race the teacher” practices. This takes about ten minutes in total. It works best if they do this all at once, so we suggest students wait to start a session until they have ten minutes available.
