Our team concentrated on what matters most to educators: making XtraMath simpler, faster, and easier to use right from day one. These updates are designed to reduce setup time, clarify options, and help you get students started quickly and confidently.

Let’s take a closer look at what’s new and how these updates support effective, confident math instruction.

1. New Program Settings: Easier Setup, More Control‍

We’ve totally redesigned the Program Settings to be a true time-saver! You can customize and assign learning paths faster than ever before. You can now fully customize a student’s program using the streamlined Program Settings panel on the left side of your teacher dashboard.

Step-by-Step: Assigning Student Programs

💡Premium vs. Free: Understanding Operation Settings

If you are using the Free basic plan, some options in Step 2 will not be available (they will appear disabled with the Premium icon).

Additionally, Operation settings work differently on Free accounts to align with the established math fluency progression:

• Selecting Multiplication automatically includes Addition and Subtraction
• Single-operation selection isn’t available (except for Addition)
• Previous operations are automatically highlighted as you move forward

This structure ensures students build fluency in the correct progression, even without customization options available only for Premium users.

2. Direct Access to the Awakening (Game)Teacher Portal

Last summer, XtraMath expanded to include standards-aligned math games that reinforce fluency. Through our partnership with Legends of Learning, educators can use Awakening, a research-backed, game-based learning experience that strengthens fluency through play.

Awakening is an optional extension of XtraMath. Students can access it only after completing their daily personalized practice and only when a teacher or parent enables it so learning always comes first. Once activated, students transition seamlessly into a curriculum-aligned game world where they apply math skills through interactive challenges and earn in-game rewards, like avatar customizations.

What’s New?

• One-Click Transition: We have added a dedicated button directly on your XtraMath Teacher Dashboard. Clicking this button now takes you straight to the Awakening Teacher Portal, no extra login, no searching for the right URL.
• Unified Workflow: This new feature creates a single, smooth flow between the two platforms. You can monitor fluency growth in XtraMath and instantly transition to manage game activity in Awakening.

This integration simplifies your entire routine. You can now manage your fluency program and your game-based learning supplement with the efficiency of a single, powerful system.
