Hello, XtraMath community!
We're thrilled to share our recent adventure at the CAMT 2024 Conference of Advancement in Mathematics Teaching, held from July 15-17 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas. It was an incredible three-day event, full of learning, networking, and, most importantly, connecting with the vibrant community of K-12 mathematics educators.
CAMT is an annual conference that brings together educators and leaders in mathematics education to exchange ideas, best practices, and innovative teaching strategies. This year, the conference offered over 500 sessions and extended learning opportunities, featuring a mix of local and nationally recognized speakers. The energy and enthusiasm at the event were palpable, and it was a joy to see so many dedicated professionals passionate about math education.
It was wonderful to see our booth so lively, as we had the pleasure of meeting many of you—teachers who use XtraMath and those curious about how our program can enhance their students' math fluency. We were overwhelmed by the positive feedback and stories shared by educators. One memorable moment was when a second-grade teacher serenaded us with a song she wrote to motivate her students during their daily XtraMath sessions. It's these personal touches that remind us why we do what we do!
Many visitors were excited to meet "Mr. C," our beloved Math Coach, and snapped photos with him to bring to their classroom and show their students.
As a token of our appreciation, we handed out XtraMath swag bags filled with goodies to brighten up classrooms. Additionally, every teacher who visited our booth received a three-month free trial of the XtraMath Premium license—a small way to thank you for your commitment to nurturing math skills in young learners.
A highlight of our booth was the "spin-to-win" wheel, which added an extra layer of fun and excitement. Teachers spun the wheel to win various prizes, from XtraMath merchandise to educational resources. It was a fantastic way to engage with everyone and spread a little joy.
Looking ahead, we're already excited about next year's CAMT 2025, which will be held next summer in San Antonio, Texas. Until then, keep sharing your wonderful stories and creative uses of XtraMath in the classroom with us. Your feedback and experiences inspire us and drive our mission to make math fluency accessible for all students.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, participated in our activities, and shared your experiences with XtraMath. We look forward to seeing you next year! Click here to watch our CAMT Reel on Instagram
